Are you ready to elevate the impact of your Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services? We’re excited to announce a unique opportunity for state VR agencies (SVRAs) and their partner community rehabilitation providers (CRPs) to apply for the pilot cohort of the new CIT VR: PATH (Provider Advancement Through High-Quality Training), led by GW CRCRE.
What’s in store?
In the selected cohort:
- Your state and its approved CRPs will receive a customized landscape analysis of VR and CRP capacity to identify training and professional development needs.
- Access to the “Provider 101 Training Pathway,” featuring sequenced online learning across three tiers — foundational, advanced, and tailored — with five key learning pathways: Foundations of Disability; Communication & Interpersonal Effectiveness; Advanced Practices in Disability Services; Operational Foundations for Sustainable CRP Services; and Leadership Development.
- Engagement in a Community of Practice, and participation in either the SVRA/CRP Collaboration Academy or the CRP Leadership Academy.
- Webinars throughout the grant period open to all participating agencies and providers.
Who should apply?
State VR agencies that are ready to partner with at least three (3) approved CRPs in their state (and up to seven) for this training initiative.
If your agency and CRPs are eager to strengthen skills, improve outcomes for individuals with disabilities, build leadership capacity, and advance service delivery — this is your opportunity.
Important Dates & Application Info:
- Application deadline: COB Friday, December 19, 2025.
- Selection notifications will be sent by close of business February 17, 2026.
- To apply, submit the application form and ensure letters of commitment from your CRPs are emailed to jcwalsh@gwu.edu and djralston@gwu.edu with subject line “Your State’s Name – CRP LOC”.
Why this matters:
By joining this pilot, your agency can advance its workforce capacity, enhance partnerships between state VR and community providers, and ultimately improve employment outcomes for people with disabilities. It’s a chance to participate in a nationally-developed, evidence-based training initiative backed by the U.S. Department of Education, Rehabilitation Services Administration.
