Pathways Forward, Outcomes Together: GW Center for Rehabilitation Counseling Research and Education Celebrates NTACT:C Partnership

The George Washington University Center for Rehabilitation Counseling Research and Education (GWCRCRE) is excited to announce our partnership with the National Technical Assistance Center on Transition: the Collaborative (NTACT:C). We invite stakeholders, practitioners, and advocates to join us for the national kickoff webinar on January 22, 2026.

Date: Wednesday, January 22, 2026

Time: 2:00 pm EST / 1:00 pm CST / 12:00 pm MST / 11:00 am PST

Location: Live on Zoom

This webinar will introduce the mission and priorities of the NTACT:C, highlighting the center's enhanced technical assistance supports for State Education Agencies (SEAs), State Vocational Rehabilitation Agencies (SVRAs), workforce partners, youth- and family-serving systems, and federal collaborators.

Why This Matters

The GWCRCRE team is pleased to partner on this important project and looks forward to advancing systemic improvements in services that lead to meaningful employment and postsecondary outcomes for youth with disabilities. Our collaboration with NTACT:C reflects our shared commitment to evidence-based practices, capacity building, and centering the voices of youth and families in transition planning.

Key Priorities of the New NTACT:C

The center will focus on five critical areas:

  • Data-Driven Capacity Building: Strengthening state capacity to use valid, reliable data aligned with SPP/APR Indicators B1, B2, B13, B14; RSA-911; and WIOA indicators
  • Aligned Professional Development: Expanding coordinated training and coaching across education and vocational rehabilitation systems
  • Youth and Family Engagement: Improving meaningful participation of students, youth, and families in planning for the future
  • Career Pathways Access: Enhancing opportunities for work-based learning, Career Technical Education (CTE), pre-employment transition services (pre-ETS), postsecondary options, and competitive integrated employment
  • Strategic Collaboration: Strengthening partnerships across federal investments, technical assistance centers, Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs), workforce partners, and national initiatives

A particular highlight is the expanded role of Youth Engagement in Transition Initiative (YETI) and the development of plain-language, accessible, and responsive resources that truly meet the needs of our communities.

Join Us in Building Better Futures

As a NTACT:C partner, GWCRCRE looks forward to contributing our expertise in rehabilitation counseling research and education to support states, practitioners, and families in creating effective transition pathways. Together, we can ensure that youth with disabilities have access to the supports, services, and opportunities they need to achieve their career and life goals.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the future as we chart the course for pathways forward and outcomes together.
