About Cynthia:

Cynthia is a Senior Technical Assistance and Research Analyst with George Wasington University’s Center for Rehabilitation Counseling Research and Education (CRCRE). She is the former Director of NC DHHS’ Division of Services for the Blind and has worked in the human services field for more than 38 years during which she focused on expanding opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Throughout her career, Cynthia has served in various roles including, private rehabilitation consultant, vocational rehabilitation counselor, assistant regional manager, regional manager, ILR/ILOB program specialist, chief of rehabilitation programs and field services, assistant director, and director.

Cynthia received both her Master of Science in rehabilitation counseling and Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
